T.J. Mancini – Producer/Writer

T.J. Mancini, President of Crossroads Entertainment, LLC and a direct descendant of Count Vittorio Alfieri (the Italian Shakespeare), has developed more than 50 screenplays, film and TV treatments, and novel adaptations and manages a select group of known and talented writers, directors and actors. Mancini has extensive experience as a producer, screenwriter, and story editor, with expertise in identifying high-quality commercial stories with artistic integrity intended for theatrical release, television, and cable. He was a Producer on the feature film Strays, written, directed by, and starring Vin Diesel (Pitch Black, XXX, The Fast and the Furious, Boiler Room). Strays was in the dramatic competition at the ’97 Sundance Film Festival. Mancini was also a Producer on Riddick, starring Vin Diesel, and produced Shadow of Doubt for Largo Entertainment, starring Melanie Griffith and Tom Berenger, directed by Randal Kleiser (Grease, Honey I Blew Up the Kids).

Mancini produced such well-received plays as John Lennon’s In His Own Mind and Joyce Carol Oates’s The Changeling. While working for NBC, he studied at the American Film Institute and the School of Visual Arts, taking many courses in filmmaking and screenwriting. He directed a successful stage performance of his screenplay, Boardwalk, at Robert De Niro’s Tribeca Film Center. TJ Mancini is a long-time member of The Producers Guild of America.

Since moving to Los Angeles, Mancini has produced and worked in a production and development capacity on films such as Knetnapped for USA Network, Can of Worms for Disney, Left Behind for Namesake Entertainment, and the previously mentioned Strays and Shadow of Doubt. Mancini wrote and produced Find Me Guilty, starring Vin Diesel and directed by Sidney Lumet. He is proud to have completed Downtown, starring Genevieve Bujold and John Savage. Mancini co-wrote Los Bandoleros, the prequel to FF4. TJ is the writer of the pilot for The Ropes TV Series with director Vin Diesel, based on Vin’s experience as a Bouncer in New York.

Mancini is a Producer on the upcoming film African Son. He will also produce Hitman’s Funeral, starring Al Pacino and Charlize Theron. He is working with Vin Diesel on developing a trilogy of feature films called Hannibal the Conqueror about the Carthaginian general who, in 200 BC, traveled from North Africa across the Mediterranean Sea to attack Rome, crossing the Alps in winter with 100,000 men and 100 elephants. Mancini has written a script on Genghis Khan that he plans to shoot in China and has just finished writing King Komodo, which is planned to be shot in Indonesia. TJ is currently in development on 11 Bullets: 3 Thru the Heart, based on the true story of a French girl born on a farm who became a Mob Queen.
